January fifteenth, 1832

Dear Diary,

    Today I was watering the plants, when I noticed that my mint plant wasn't doing so well. It was droopy and sort of brown, so I watered it. Mint leaves smell good. Any way, then Mary Tuna walked up and said, "Hi! What are you doing today?"
   "I'm watering my plants," I told her. "Want to help?"
   "Sure!" she replied, and I handed her my extra watering can, and she began watering the plants.
   Then she said "Aliaranel, I heard Hilot talk about Oreo cookies and how he wants to smuggle one onto the ship. Shouldn't he be more careful of the captain or other crewmembers overhearing?"
   "Yes he should, especially if he says anything about the Stofer Interface," I replied.
   "The other crewmembers like Fuegia and Mr. Darwin might ask where he got them from," Mary added.
   "Then he'd have trouble explaining," I said.
   Then Mary said, "He'd better not show them the cheeseburger that he found."
   "The rats ate it," I countered.
   "He said they died when he fed them some of it," she retorted.
   "Yes, but he fed it to all of the rats until there wasnıt anymore, and then all of the rats were dead." I finished. "Did you hear how Mr. X tried to kill Sammy?" I asked.
   "No, not exactly."
   "Well, Hilot said that Mr. X got burn marks from trying to club Sammy the cat to death!" I said.
   "Ouch" she winced.
   "Yeah," I said, "but Iım not going to help him!" I said, and winked at Mary Tuna.
   "Me neither!" she said
   "Speaking of animals, how's Poena?" I asked.
    "Very well. I just can't watch over her and neither can Fuegia. We are pooped. She needs babysitters," said Mary Tuna.
   "Oh," I said.
   Then, Mary Grace walked up and said, "Hi guys. What are you doing?"
   "We're watering my plants," I said.
    "Don't tell anyone, but I secretly have some more seeds!" Mary Grace whispered.
    "What kinds of seeds do you have?" I asked. "I could always use some more seeds, you know."
   "Oh, I have green bean seeds, poppy seeds, pepper seeds, sunflower seeds, and carrot seeds! That is just a fourth of all the seeds I have." She said.
   "Wow! I exclaimed.
   Just then, Mary Tuna said, "I should probably check on Poena now! Bye!" and walked off to check on her little piglet.
