To my long private friend,

    Hello again! I have loads of things to tell you about my day today so pull up a chair and imagine...
    It was early morning and I was tired from a long day of work so I though hey what's ten minutes more sleep going to hurt, eh? I tried to close my eyes but I couldn't go back to sleep. I suddenly saw a bright light coming my way. I squinted my eyes and I forced myself to wake up. I saw the sunlight through the hatchway, hopped off my somewhat itchy hammock and rushed to work.
    I was running out of the Crew's Headquarters to get Lucky when I suddenly picked up the most disgusting smell in my life! 'Bleh! Somebody needs a shower!' But then I walked into some of the other rooms, when I saw that our barrel of rats was knocked over! I plugged my nose and ran straight toward the Captainšs room. As I was walking out of the icky room I noticed basically a lot of the crew were running around like maniacs and not from drinking the beer! I went to the nearest corner and peered over. There they were, all messy and they were not doing their job. I finally decided to show some courage so I walked toward them and asked, "What are ya doing?˛ I asked in my best voice. They responded with "Parties rock!" I sighed and kept going toward the captain's room. I saw it was getting less disgusting then it was when I was closer towards the crew's headquarters. I was going down the Fore hatchway through the Mess tables, up the Main Hatchway, around the Gangway, down to the Gunroom Skylight and finally I walked to the Captain's cabin.
    I finally made it to the captainšs room, when I peered in seeing he was snuggled up in the most comfortable bed with Lucky under his arm. He has better accommodations than the crew! I didnšt want to disturb him but then again I wanted my dog back. I waited by the door while others were working hard. I once again peered in and I saw he was getting up! I was happy, so I knocked on the door. He slowly walked over and opened it up as he asked "Are you here for Lucky?" I nodded and he put her in my arms and I hugged her and told him "Thank you!"
     He smiled and then closed his door. I jumped with joy but then thought 'Oh my gosh, I have to be at work!' I raced back toward the crew's headquarters and rushed past both Mr. X and Agent X. I was watching Luckyšs eyes go round and round when I slowed down just a little bit so she wouldnšt get seasick. I kept rushing and I finally got back. I walked slowly past all of the knocked-over dead rats and wanted to plug my nose. I didnšt, but it was fine because I had Lucky and I was happy.
    I went into my job room and said hello to all of the animals. I put Lucky down and saw Sammy. I patted her on the head and put down some potato peels, a little fish and tried to show her where all of the dead rats were. She tiptoed out of the room with a little meow and a slight lick of the lips. I giggled and got back to work. I noticed that the animals haven't eaten all morning, so I thought it would be a good idea to feed them. I took their tins and began pouring some dog food, cow hay, pig grub, and a little hint of water in their other bowl. They all licked their lips and dug into food. They seemed happy, which made me smile. I heard voices coming from the Beef & Pork cask room. I wondered 'Why would there be noise in there? I mean all of animals are dead' I wondered for a little while. I wanted to go see but I couldnšt just leave my job! Besides I wanted to be promoted and I am pretty close! I decided to stay and wait for the noise to keep going but it stopped. I wondered again and this time I actually walked out of the room, almost. I couldnšt stand it I wanted to find out so bad. I could leave but wait if I do and somebody walks in, that would be a huge problem for me! Maybe I could be like 'I have to go to the bathroom or I had to vomit.'
