Dear Diary,
I was on deck at six in the morning, in my nightgown watching the sunrise. I
returned to my cabin to wake Fuegia. She was grumpy, and unwilling to wake up.
Most unusual for her. She is usually cheerful, and gets right out of bed. She
said that she was cranky and wanted to go back asleep. I argued with her, saying
that Flower was hungry, but when I finished my sentence, I realized she was
asleep again.
So, I fed Flower, Poena, and the faithful seven mice. I also gave
them water bowls.
I pulled a dress on, and pulled my hair up in a bun. "Not too
fancy today I guess," I thought. "At least until Fuegia is awake," I added to
myself. The crew was just starting to stir when I opened the door to my cabin.
Chattering started when the crew started to go on their daily routines.
Aliaranel spotted me alone on deck and asked me about Fuegia. I said she didn't
want to wake up, and I was on my way to the kitchen to get some water with a
lemon in it, one of her favorites. I added that if she didn't drink it, I was
going to either drink it myself or go and pour it on her.
She accepted the water. I helped her get ready. I am eating breakfast and really
should go.
