About Page

Dear Diary,
I went on excursion on the island today with Charles Darwin. I was supposed to be his bodyguard, but he used my minimal understanding of the language to help communicate with the natives. At first he was trying to find specimens by himself but he became extremely tired and started to pay children to bring him plants, animals and insects. He documented some species that he had never heard of and didn't think ever had been documented before. We were exploring the island all day when he realized we had walked all the way to the other side of the island. It was 2:00pm at that time. We were supposed to be back at the ship for 5:00 pm. As we arrived back at the ship, the church bell tolled 5:00. We were incredibly lucky, because we would not be given a meal if we were late for our mealtime. I am extremely tired from walking all today. Going to bed.

Tired,
Sipho
