I'm starting to regret my decision to help the cook. It's just so hot in here! The heat and having to avoid Mr. X are making it hard to work. I just don't trust him, with all his complaining about having to peel potatoes all day and the way he's always sucking up to the captain. I bet he wouldn't hesitate to sell me out if it meant he would get a different job. And it freaks me out the way he's always playing with his gun.
