Dear Diary,
    Today I have been cleaning brushes, mixing paints, emptying the chamberpot and bringing fresh cups of tea for Augustus Earle. Right now I'm off of work. Thank goodness—the chamberpot stinks up the whole ship if someone opens the door (pe-ee-ew!).
    Do know that Mr.X is getting a bit grumpy today and probably more tomorrow (Yikes!).
    Today I find Lucky left presnts in my hammock. Guess what it is:
   (a)   a bone
   (b)   a shoe
   (c)   lucky's doo doo or
   (d)   a dead rat.
