Well I have about had it! I am always being called a cute little beagle! As if I wanted to be one? Absolutely not! I mean I donıt understand! I mean I don't understand! Ok, Captain FitzRoy should know better! Who funded this trip? Wasn't it the William the IV?? If it was, he should stick up for me! We have been the court spaniels since the 1600's! We are not hunting and sporting dogs—we are royalty! We are meant for companionshipŠ and do our job well! Just wait till I get home and tell my friend, King William IV, that FitzRoy and Darwin still think that I'm a beagle.
     Well at least being a beagle has its perks in life such as:

• Sleeping in a nice cozy bed with nice warm and fluffy pillows
• Having your best friend Janis with you
• Staying up late
• Having the run of the Captains' Quarters
• Being the favorite

• Being a beagle
• Having rats run past you un-noticed
• Sometimes not getting attention
• Having piglets around that chase you
• Watching a pig eat
